Getting into the christmas mood...

Christmas season is my favorite time of the year!!
I love everything about Christmas, the music, the tree, the decorations,hot chocolate, the movies.
The snow... well in Wisconsin here in Arizona I am living in a lie during christmas season... because i walk outside and i still see people wearing shorts and t-shirts... and is around 60 degrees.
 

HACHIKO: A TRUE STORY OF A LOYAL DOG

Ok I was watching Animal Planet today.
I love to watch DOG 101 to learn about the different dog breeds.
Anyway today on one of the shows they were talking about the breed AKITA.
And I heard a story that brought me to tears... seriously. If you watch this you would know why.

The story takes place in Japan 1920's. An akita dog(Hachiko) was purchased by a professor.
Hachiko accompanies his master to the train station every day and returns each afternoon to greet him after work. It was a ritual for a year and a half. But when the professor passes away (1924), Hachiko faithfully returns to the same spot at the station every day for almost 10 years to wait for his beloved master.
Then he finaly died in the train station waiting for him.

I did some reasearch and found this video in Youtube it helps you see what's going on.




In Japan they have a bronze statue of him and in the train station paintings on the wall of him.They are also coming out with a movie.

My little sewing machine....

 


Never thought i would own a sweing machine.
I had a really bad experience when i was around 7 with a heavy duty one.
My grandma had a few sewing machines and we were working with a metal one.
The sewing machine fell on my finger. It was sharp and really heavy.

I was really scared. My finger looked really bad.It was open!!!
I got five stiches. And ever since that happened I've never liked them.
I hated the noise they make, didn't like to look at them.
Just knew i woud never sew.

But earlier this year... i was in a fabric store with mom i was buying ribbon, she was looking at other stuff.
And i saw that little sewing machine in the display. My mom talked me into it.
I gave every excuse not to get it. but...


 


That sewing machine said "Perfect for crafts". It was little and cute.
And it had a really good price. Because the store was going out of business.
And it was the last one there.
My mom told me it was a good brand.
I bought it, and yesterday my mom was teaching me how to use it.
Let's see how much i do with this.
I just bought it to use on my cards.

I'm sorry i've been gone for a while.
I did a lot of traveling and still not done.
I went to spend a week in San Diego, Ca
then i came to AZ, then went to Provo Utah.
And now i get to fly to New York then to Chicago to get to Wisconsin to go see my family.
lol crazy
I got a Yorkie pup!!!
His name is Beau and it means Handsome in french.
I love him. Is been so fun having him around
watching him play.
He does commands
down, sit, leave it, hi five etc.
So he's been doing good. I love him to pieces.

More and more bellas

I know i don't post here very often but after the next month i'll be able to.
We are going to get our first place and i'll be able to have my craft room!!!
so i am looking forward to that.
I do need to do better with the postings though but i will once i have everything good.
i have so many projects to work on.
alright then so i'll try and do better.

So i got an e-mail from Sherri yesterday. Sherri is a stampin up demostrador and my friend. She told me that my order had arrived already and i was sooooooo excited to finally get it!

And she was kind enough to bring it to me after work!! How nice is that... she took my order with her to work and brought it to me in her way home.

And in the mail i got what i was waiting for!!!
